It lets developers send and inspect requests to REST, GraphQL, gRPC and WebSocket APIs, organize them in collections, switch between environments with variables, and write automated tests. It also includes an editor for OpenAPI design documents and can store projects locally, in Git or in Kong cloud storage. The desktop app runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, and the companion inso command-line tool runs tests in CI pipelines. Insomnia is licensed under Apache 2.0, with paid plans for team features.
